Get Ready Partners with NPSI on Inspiring Workshop

Sections

In November, the Get Ready GEAR UP Institute presented the College & Career Strategy Workshop for School District Leaders, in collaboration with the National Postsecondary Strategy Institute (NPSI).

Leaders from across Minnesota came together for an impactful College and Career Strategy Workshop, transforming bold ideas into concrete plans that will shape student futures. The room was full of innovative thinking, shared purpose, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring every student graduates ready for what comes next. The collaborative spirit on display showed just how strongly Minnesota is invested in building brighter postsecondary pathways.

Schools in attendance included Camden, Dream Technical Academy, Prairie Seeds Academy, Red Lake, Robbinsdale, and Roosevelt, each bringing thoughtful leadership, community insights, and a passion for student success.

The workshop invited school district (K–12) leadership teams to spend a full day deeply focused on improving college and career outcomes. Throughout the Institute, teams:

  • Worked as a Postsecondary Leadership Team (PLT), bringing together key district members who collectively influence postsecondary readiness.
  • Identified key data indicators that signal whether students are on track for success after high school and strategized ways to strengthen those benchmarks.
  • Developed systems to break down silos, increase collaboration, and design coherent, districtwide college and career strategies.
  • Explored how to use data more effectively to guide decisions and improve student outcomes across grade levels.

Together, participants left with clearer direction, stronger coordination, and renewed energy to support every student’s journey toward college, career, and beyond.
